Esteemed Reader,

This humble person presents before you their first attempt at creating a personal website through programming. Yet, even at this point, I remain largely uncertain as to what I am doing. For one who knows naught of programming, it is undoubtedly a most arduous endeavor. At the outset, I merely wished to have a place to publish my writings. However, upon reviewing my past works, I find the topics narrow, the emotions trivial, and my words lacking both grace and imagination. At times, I question myself: am I truly, as I once fancied in my youth, different from the ordinary?

I must confess, with no small shame, that all my undertakings bear some degree of purpose and self-interest. My journaling, for instance, is intended for the future, to be read by those who may come after my passing. Posting videos or pictures on social media is but an effort to open up the possibility of some profit, though my attempts have been nothing short of a muddle. Likewise, this personal website is designed to allow others to swiftly understand me in my entirety. Yet I assure you, in my journals, on social media, and here, I do not tell lies.

Friends are of great importance. The loss of a companion with whom one shares words and thoughts is far more sorrowful than losing one who never loved you to begin with. In days past, when I said 'I love you', it was love in the human sense. Yet when that love soured, we became not even friends. If one were to ask me who my dearest friend is, I have always thought of this particular person.
